This is the second volume of Srila Gurudeva's biography.

This small booklet is the translation of an article appearing in Hindi edition of Sri Sri Bhagavata Patrika, Year 4, Issues 7 & 8, September and October 2007 on the glories of Sri Rupa Gosvami.

A detailed and nectarean historical account of Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Svami Prabhupada's long-standing relationship with both his sannyasa-guru, Srila Bhakti Prajnana Kesava Gosvami Maharaja, and Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja.

A compilation of essays which illuminate the subject of sri guru-tattva and glorify Gaudiya Vaisnava siddhanta.

This unprecedented edition contains the commentaries Srila Radha-ramana dasa Gosvami, Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura and Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami Prabhupada. Translated from the Hindi edition of Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja, Sri Upadesamrta gives instructions indispensable for practitioners of the devotional path. Without following these instructions, entering the realm of pure devotion and especially following the intricate and elevated path of spontaneous devotion (raganuga-bhakti) is not only difficult, but impossible.

Srila Rupa Gosvami, being Sri Gaurahari's topmost associate, was saturated with His mercy. As the acarya of transcendental rasa-sastras, he wrote invaluable literatures, including the most exceptional Sri Stava-mala, "A Garland of Prayers,"which was actually compiled later by Srila Jiva Gosvami. Utkalika-vallari, one of the flowers in this garland, is a poetic entreaty for the service of Sri Sri Radha-Krsna. Srila Rupa Gosvamipada's sweet devotion to unnata-ujjvala-madhurya-mayi-bhakti, "the brilliantly shining amorous mellow,“ is a honeybee whose delightful humming, here at its finest, has fully blossomed in this prayer. Utkalika means 'very intense eagerness mixed with extreme restlessness,' and vallari means 'creeper;' hence Utkalika-vallari means "The Vine of Intense Longings."

Vaisnava-siddhanta-mala was originally composed in the Bengali language by the incarnation of auspiciousness upon this world, om visnupada Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura who is to be included as an intimate member among the eternal associates of Sri Saci-nandana Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who is the purifier of the age of Kali and the source of all incarnations.

Selected verses from the Vedic literatures have been assembled here to provide the reader with a comprehensive analysis of the question, "From whom should I inquire?"

"The Song of Krsna's Flute" is translated from the Hindi commentary of Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja reveals the depth of the commentaries of Srila Jiva Gosvami and Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura. The Srimad-Bhagavatam is the fully ripened, nectarian fruit of the desire tree of Vedic literature which comprises the entirety of Indian thought. Within Srimad-Bhagavatam, gopi-prema has been ascertained to be the ultimate objective. A few towering waves of gopi-prema can be seen from the Venu-gita portion of Srimad-Bhagavatam. Rasika bhaktas drown themselves in these waves and even lose all consciousness of their own bodies. Greed to be immersed in this nectarian ocean sprouts even in the hearts of the faithful devotees who are situated on the shore of this ocean.

Sri Vraja-mandala parikrama, originally inaugurated by Sriman Mahaprabhu Himself, has been conducted for over fifty years under the supervision and guidance of Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja. This book is a beautiful exposition of the confidential places of Sri Krsna's sweet pastimes in Vraja. "Blessed is the land of Vraja, where the creator of the universe, Lord Brahma, dwells in the form of a mountain range in Varsana, to have the dust of the Divine Couple Sri Sri Radha-Krsna's lotus feet on the head: where the maintainer, Lord Visnu, has assumed the forms of Govardhana and Visnu-parvata: where the moon-crested Lord Siva has taken up residence as Nandisvara Hill in Nandagrama: and where Sri Uddhava, the best of Hari's servants, lives as a blade of grass, a small shrub or a creeper on the bank of Kusuma-sarovara."

The basic principle of the living condition is that we have a general propensity to love someone. No one can live without loving someone else. This propensity is present in every living being. Even an animal like a tiger has this loving propensity at least in a dormant stage, and it is certainly present in the human beings. The missing point, however, is where to repose our love so that everyone can become happy. At the present moment the human society teaches one to love his country or family or his personal self, but there is no information about where to repose the loving propensity so that everyone can become happy.
