'Viśva Baṅdhu' Śrīpāda Bhaktivedānta Madhusūdana Mahārāja "Jewel in an ocean of speakers" delivers his 322nd Śrīmad Bhagavat-saptaḥ in Kaśipur
Kaśipur's Sanatana Dharma Committee was praised at having discovered a jewel from the great ocean of speakers on Bhagavatam. Previously in Nepal Śrīpada Madhusūdana Mahārāja was presented with a Gold Award and the title 'Viśva Bandhu' (Friend of the World)
Viśva Baṅdhu Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Madhusūdana Mahārāja enchanted a packed audience in Kaśipur, with his enlightened commentary on the Śrīmad Bhagavatam. The event organised by the Sanatana Dharma Committee was attended by hundreds daily, and the dense crowd regularly overflowed the Agravāl Sabhā Bhavan.
Amongst those present were many learned scholars, religious teachers and professionals, who after seven days immersion in the nectar-ocean of Bhagavat Kathā, worshipped with great appreciation, having never heard such katha before. They declared that by the influence of Mahārāja's illumination on Bhagavatam, Kaśipur had been transformed into Śrī Vrindāvana Dhāma and that at every person's feet were automatically running to the Agraval Sabhā Bhavan.
A senior member of the Comittee, Mr Caturvedī, presented Śrīpāda Madhusūdana Mahārāja with a letter of honour, and the event was much acclaimed every day in many local and national newspapers.
Whilst in Kaśipur Śrīpāda Madhusūdana Mahārāja attended 16 house programmes and 60 people took Harinam or initiation. Many foreigners, Indian devotees and local people performed nagar-saṅkīrttana throughout the town.
8 boxes of books by our Śrīla Gurudeva (Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja) and Śrīpada Bhaktivedanta Madhusūdana Mahārāja were distributed.
Having tasted one drop of his deeply-realised, transformational and intensely sweet Bhagavat Kathā, it remains only for Kaśipur to eagerly await the return of Śrīpada Bhaktivedānta Madhusūdana Mahārāja.
