My dandavat pranams. All glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga!
On behalf of Gaudiya Vaisnava Publications (GVP) I am making an appeal to the Vaisnava community and to the friends of the devotees as well, to make available for publication any negatives, photographs, or digital files that may be in your personal possession (the private domain, meaning not copyright protected by anyone other than the person in possession of the imagery, yourself). The images especially needed are of Srila Prabhupada A.C. Bhaktivedenta Swami Maharaja. Publishing quality images of Bhaktivedenta Srila Narayana Maharaja, other Vaisnava gurus, deities, temples, the holy dhamas, devotees at the various festivals all over the world, Vrndavana and Mayapura parikramas, original art, and typical Indian scenery, etc are also needed.
Our plan is to collect imagery and to create an extensive archive of transcendental imagery for publication. If you think you have possession of imagery that may be of value to the archive please contact Anita dasi and she will help to determine if the next step of contacting myself is appropriate.
I will be creating the master archive with the help of other devotees and will be responsible for the scanning of any original photographs or negatives. I have been a professional photographer for 19 years and assure you I will take great care with any original imagery in whatever form it is presented.
Please understand that we are especially looking for images where the copyright can be established as non-institutional and where the reproductive rights can be legally made available to GVP. We are hoping for unlimited image usage, but if there are restrictions they can be discussed and accommodated. We have established a simple legal process to facilitate your service.
Once received your negatives or photographs will be digitized and then returned to you. Your originals will be handled with the greatest of care by a professional photographer disciple of Srila Prabhupada, Karlapati dasi, also known as Kanupriya dasi.
Aspiring for service to Hari, Guru, and the Vaisnavas,
