Srila Maharaja in Taipei

A report with photos
Taipai, Taiwan
November 22-24, 2005

Srila Narayana Maharaja left Delhi for Hawaii on November 22, 2005. He had a five day layover planned in Taipei, Taiwan, but due to cold and rainy weather they shortened their layover in Taiwan to two days.

Several of his disciples from Hong Kong met him in Taiwan and arranged for accommodations, shopping and cooking as Srila Narayana Maharaja has never been in Taiwan before.

On November 23rd, he held a darsan for the devotees and answered any questions they had. He also gave initiation to two girls; one harinama and one diksa. In the darsana, he told them we (most people) are full of material desires and that is why we are not happy. He always thinks of helping more people and how he can help, therefore, he does not have any material desires at all. He stated that we have to practice sincerely for purification and developing faith. Chanting is very important and we should keep doing so no matter what.
One new girl that came from Hong Kong to meet Srila Narayana Maharaja asked whether she could chant by heart and not with beads. In reply, he asked her whether she could eat by heart but not by mouth.

On the 24th, the devotees accompanied Srila Narayana Maharaja to the airport and had another short darsan with him there before he boarded his plan to Hawaii.
