The basic principle of the living condition is that we have a general propensity to love someone. No one can live without loving someone else. This propensity is present in every living being. Even an animal like a tiger has this loving propensity at least in a dormant stage, and it is certainly present in the human beings. The missing point, however, is where to repose our love so that everyone can become happy. At the present moment the human society teaches one to love his country or family or his personal self, but there is no information about where to repose the loving propensity so that everyone can become happy.

Once, Sri Krsna, disguised in the attire of a heavenly damsel, came to Srimati Radhika and stood before Her completely silent. The sight of this incredibly beautiful celestial damsel filled Srimati Radhika with bliss and She became most eager to befriend Her. Srimati Radhika asked Her several questions, but the girl offered no reply ...

The title of this book, Arcana-dipika, means "the lamp that illuminates arcana." The term arcana signifies honour or worship. As one of the the nine processes of devotional service it refers to worshiping the deity form of the Lord. Arcana-dipika teaches us how this service is performed and how to please the Lord through this process of worship. By the mercy of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu; the six Gosvamis and other contemporary followers of Sriman Mahaprabhu; and more recently Srila Bhaktivedanta Svami Maharaja the process of deity worship, which is the authentic method of approaching Sri Bhagavan, has been successfully introduced to the entire world.

This book especially investigates the philosophy of Sri Sankaracarya, whose philosophical misinterpretations of the Vedas were so influential that not only did he succeed in driving Buddhism out of India, but what most of us now think of as Hinduism is fundamentally nothing but his brand of impersonal Mayavadism. To quote the author, "...it can be safely concluded that in truth, any philosophy which has the propensity to dilute, divide, and confuse the rational, logical or factual understanding of the Supreme Lord's personal form, has at some juncture been influenced by the deceptive forces of Mayavadism." Furthermore, Beyond Nirvana demonstrates that Sankaracarya's teachings are in the final analysis ironically nothing but a recycled form of Buddhism and in no way true to the original Vedic wisdom known as sanatana-dharma.

This exceptional book is a compilation of five different essays which Srila Gurudeva has written over the past 20 years in defense of Gaudiya sampradaya tattva-siddhanta. Each refutation is elaborately and conclusively proven with evidence from sastra.
Included in this edition are two lectures by Srila Gurudeva which glorify and follow the example of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami Prabhupada who boldly re-established the true conceptions of Sriman Mahaprabhu and the gosvamis, and began the preaching mission which is today bringing this pure bhakti-tattva siddhanta to every country in the world.

We trust various persons of authority to inform us about material subject matters, but whom shall we trust in regard to transcendental subject matters and the transcendental world? We cannot experience transcendence with any of our material senses. How then, can we have an idea of that pure reality? We can see the body, but not the soul. How can we verify that there is a soul beyond matter? Though God is everywhere, we don't see Him. How then, can we determine who is God? Although it is evident that we cannot control the world, how can we trust that there is a God from whom this creation has come, and how can we be confident that it is He who controls it? Millions of people are born daily, and millions also die. Who controls this overwhelming tide of birth and death? Sea waves come on schedule, the sun appears on schedule, and new days come with continuous regularity. We do not control those rhythms, yet somehow, everything is maintained.

Gopi-gita is part of Rasa-panca-adhyayi, the five chapters of Srimad-Bhagavatam that relate rasa-lila. The body has five kinds of life-airs (panca prana) residing in the heart, and among these five, one is most vital. The twelve cantos of Srimad-Bhagavatam are likened to twelve parts of a body. The Tenth Canto is the heart of that body. Within that heart, the five chapters that constitute Rasa-panca-adhyayi are its five life-airs, and among them, Gopi-gita is the foremost.
We begin our discussion of Gopi-gita by remembering the chapter in Srimad-Bhagavatam that describes the gopis' worship of the goddess Katyayani-devi to attain Krsna as their husband...
