This book is a collection of scriptural proof establishing that Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu is Svayam Bhagavan, the Original Form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In the case of discerning bhagavat-tattva and the truth about the Lord's incarnations, only two kinds of evidence are acceptable. The first kind is evidence extracted from the bona fide scriptures and the second is taken from the realization of great devotees, maha-bhagavatas, who are expert in the philosophical conclusions of the Vedic scriptures, and who have direct experience of the Absolute Truth, param-brahma. This book is a limited collection of both kinds of evidence.

This book would consist of his various discourses on the deep meaning of the phrase gaura-vani pracarine, which appears in the pranama-mantra of Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Svami Prabhupada. These discourses were spoken on various occasions in different countries, over a period of ten years.

The Vedic scriptures explain that a person who wants to engage in devotional service to the Supreme Lord Sri Krsna, with the aim of becoming His eternal servant, must take shelter of a bona fide spiritual master. Under the guidance of such a guru, one must hear and read about spiritual topics, such as those described in Srimad Bhagavad-gita, Srimad-Bhagavatam, Sri Caitanya-caritamrta and other scriptures. The young, yet interested, audience often finds these literatures difficult to read and understand. The subject matter is deep and the language complex, therefore we are presenting Sri Caitanya-lila for Children. The contents of this compilation have been taken from Sri Caitanya-bhagavata by Sri Vrndavana dasa Thakura, Sri Caitanya-caritamrta by Srila Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami, and from some of Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja's own commentaries on these pastimes.

In June 1999, Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja spent ten days at the New Vraja community in Badger, California. There he gave a series of classes on the deep meanings of the Srimad-Bhagavatam from the First Canto to the Tenth, culminating in the inner significance of Sri Krsna’s pastimes in Vrndavana. He explained that each sloka of the Bhagavatam has many levels of meanings. When a faithful hearer understands these meanings in the association of Krsna’s pure devotees, he becomes free from hunger, thirst, illusion, unhappiness and fear, and ultimately attains the association of Krsna Himself.

"The Song of Krsna's Flute" is translated from the Hindi commentary of Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja reveals the depth of the commentaries of Srila Jiva Gosvami and Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura. The Srimad-Bhagavatam is the fully ripened, nectarian fruit of the desire tree of Vedic literature which comprises the entirety of Indian thought. Within Srimad-Bhagavatam, gopi-prema has been ascertained to be the ultimate objective. A few towering waves of gopi-prema can be seen from the Venu-gita portion of Srimad-Bhagavatam. Rasika bhaktas drown themselves in these waves and even lose all consciousness of their own bodies. Greed to be immersed in this nectarian ocean sprouts even in the hearts of the faithful devotees who are situated on the shore of this ocean.

This popular booklet, based on the teachings of Jaiva-dharma, outlines three distinct paths that people follow in order to achieve happiness in life. The third is the positive principle in life, the force of pure love. That force is far beyond material enjoyment and higher than impersonal liberation. It is such a powerful force that it can ultimately transport one to the spiritual world, a realm in which only sweet love and harmony exist.

Guru-seva is the backbone of bhajana, or devotional absorption. Whoever wants to enter into the realm of bhajana must first dedicate his life to the service of a bona fide guru. Such a guru will never consider the disciple to be his or her own property. Rather, he will consider the disciple to belong to Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and the Divine Couple, Sri Sri Radha-Krsna. He will transfer the disciple's attachment and dedication to Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Sri Radha-Krsna. Whoever reads this work, will obtain a clear conception of the subject of the guru in Gaudiya Vaisnava thought. For those eager to attain bhakti, this book is therefore a lighthouse that guides the aspirant to spiritual perfection. Without guru-seva, no one can advance in Krsna consciousness.

This treatise was originally written in Bengali, in the year 1986, for the 500th anniverary of the advent of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the scheduled yet hidden incarnation for this age of Kali, as established in Sriman-Bhagavatam and other Vedic literatures. It was composed by Sri Srimand Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja (Srila Gurudeva), Sri Caitanya Mahprabhu's illustrious personal associate, whose sole misson and most prominent speciality is to give clairty and emphasis to the specific, internal nature of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's all-compassionate mission in this world.
