"With folded hands, it is our earnest prayer that, after deeply and seriously studying this Prabandha-pañcakam, the camaraderie within the pure sampradāya may be protected and preserved." [Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja]
From the ancient Vedic scriptures of India comes the famous epic of Prince Prahlad.
In a previous era - long, long ago - there was an evil monarch named Hiranya-kashipu, who succeeded in seizing control of the entire universe. He was extremely cruel, and due to his darkened heart he made life impossible for everyone - from animals to demigods. Only his son Prahlad, who was always absorbed in meditating on the Lord, remained undisturbed by his father's reign of terror. Seeing the boy's natural predilection for spiritual life, and thus taking him as an archenemy, he tried to kill his own child, but was unsuccessful every time.
Through his resolute faith and constant meditation, the young prince conquered fear and remained untouched by death. By following Prahlads's teachings, one can become fearless pure devotee of the Lord.
This is a summary work examining the verse "Absorb your mind and heart in Me, become My devotee, worship Me, offer your obeisances to Me, and certainly you will come to Me.", the essence of the Bhagavad-gita. This brief publication offers vivid illustrations of the practical application of this verse with many pastimes of Krishna and our great saintly predecessors.
This book captures the wonderful interactive nature of a series of eleven classes given in Badger, California, 1997. The reader thus feels present in that assembly and thrilled to receive the combined instructions of Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja and Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Svāmī Mahārāja (Śrīla Prabhupāda) on Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī's Śrī Upadeśāmṛta. Anyone who wants to remember and practice these teachings will find an abundance of inspiration in the pages of this book.
Discerning the True Sentiments of the Soul is the revised and enlarged edition of Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja’s booklet regarding sahajiyaism and sahajiya babaji culture, entitled Gaudiya Vaisnavism vs. Sahajiyaism. The book is comprised of Srila Gurudeva’s lectures which inform all sincere aspirants regarding the real process of bhakti and how they can protect themselves from the danger of becoming influenced by imitation bhakti.
This lovely coloring book is based on Śrī Jayadeva Gosvāmī’s Daśa Avatāra Stotram, its famous Sanskrit verses and their translations preceding the sketch of each avatāra. The drawings are an excellent tool to help one recollect each of Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s ten incarnations.
For thousands of years, devotees have sung Śrī Dāmodarāṣṭakam, especially in the revered month of Kārtika. These eight verses mark the profound blossoming of Śrī Satyavrata Muni's love for Śrī Dāmodara, as he prays, "Please appear before me in Your beautiful, eternal form as a young cowherd-boy, and grant me the perfection of life." The true meaning of this prayer remained mostly hidden until the late 1500s, when Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī wrote his elucidating commentary. Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja's lively and poignant supplementary commentary serves to make these essential meanings even more accessible.
Confidential Secrets of Bhajana is compiled from the lectures of Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja, which were given during Kartika 1996 in Vrindavana on Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura's Bhajana-rahasya.
Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura’s beautiful Śrī Camatkāra-candrikā comprises four narrations of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa’s enchanting pastimes. These stories are so delightful that one naturally becomes joyful by absorbing oneself in them. By their very nature, these pastimes allure the reader to relish the eternal sweetness of the transcendental realm.
The Vedic scriptures explain that a person who wants to engage in devotional service to the Supreme Lord Sri Krsna, with the aim of becoming His eternal servant, must take shelter of a bona fide spiritual master. Under the guidance of such a guru, one must hear and read about spiritual topics, such as those described in Srimad Bhagavad-gita, Srimad-Bhagavatam, Sri Caitanya-caritamrta and other scriptures. The young, yet interested, audience often finds these literatures difficult to read and understand. The subject matter is deep and the language complex, therefore we are presenting Sri Caitanya-lila for Children. The contents of this compilation have been taken from Sri Caitanya-bhagavata by Sri Vrndavana dasa Thakura, Sri Caitanya-caritamrta by Srila Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami, and from some of Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja's own commentaries on these pastimes.
This book is a collection of scriptural proof establishing that Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu is Svayam Bhagavan, the Original Form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In the case of discerning bhagavat-tattva and the truth about the Lord's incarnations, only two kinds of evidence are acceptable. The first kind is evidence extracted from the bona fide scriptures and the second is taken from the realization of great devotees, maha-bhagavatas, who are expert in the philosophical conclusions of the Vedic scriptures, and who have direct experience of the Absolute Truth, param-brahma. This book is a limited collection of both kinds of evidence.
The true nature of devotion: This book describes Krsna's sweet childhood pastimes, in which He plays with Mother Yasoda as an ordinary child.
In the Second Canto of Sri Brhad-bhagavatamrta, Srila Sanatana Gosvami examines all the manifestations and incarnations of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, culminating in Sri Nandanandana, the beloved son of Sri Nanda Maharaja. He does so by narrating the story of Gopa-kumara and his fascinating journey throughout the material and spiritual universes as he searches for the Lord of his heart. “Sri Brhad-bhagavatamrta alone is the main foundation of all the scriptures written by Srila Rupa Gosvami, Srila Raghunatha dasa Gosvami and so on. All the other books of our Gosvamis manifested from this one book alone.” [Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja]
“Lord Brahma described in a samhita (compilation) of one hundred chapters whatever essence of pure bhakti he had been holding in his heart in connection with the Supreme Lord. Among those chapters, this Fifth Chapter is most worshipable for Gaudiya Vaisnavas because it is extremely practical and advantageous for the living entity. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu personally brought Brahma-samhita from South India for His devotees.” [Srila Prabhupada Sarasvati Thakura]
In Bhakti-tattva-viveka, Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura has extracted the essence of Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu and presented it in simple language that is easy for all to understand. This small book’s four chapters respectively describe bhakti’s intrinsic nature, an analysis of the semblance of bhakti, bhakti’s natural attributes and the qualification for bhakti. Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura’s grave and loving concern that we truly understand this message permeates each and every page of this wonderful book.
