What is bhakti all about? It is about giving love and affection to everyone and expressing it by considering oneself to be the servant of all. Any really intelligent person would ask, "Why was I born?" or "What's the meaning and purpose of my life?" The answer is deceptively simple: We were born to love. And true love means to render service to the object of our love. At the end of the day no one cares for anything else but love. Money, power, sex or prestige can never make anyone happy, only love can. However, it is a common experience that real love does not exist on the material platform. Love doesn't mean body-to-body. No two bodies can love each other. Whoever we repose our love in, that love would invariably disappoint us, and therefore we are afraid to love and to give our hearts in love. In truth, no one in this world has true love for anyone else. Then where will our hearts go to? Whom should we love? Who should be the object of our love?

Indeed, the only real love is experienced by the soul for the Supersoul. He is an expansion of the Supreme Absolute Truth, Reality the Beautiful Sri Radha-Krishna. Our real love can only be for the Divine Couple, Sri Radha-Krishna. But since They are far away from our immediate experience, They manifest Their mercy for us in the form of Sri Guru, the external manifestation of the Supersoul in our hearts. He tells us "If you want to be happy, give all your love to me, don't give your heart to anyone else." At the same time he tells us to love all. How to reconcile this apparent contradiction? Just as by watering the root of the tree all other parts are nourished, by giving our love to Sri Guru, who is a manifestation of the root of all existence, everyone will be automatically satisfied.

By giving our hearts to Sri Guru we open it to receive his mercy in the form of pure, divine love. Only then can we share this true love with others and be genuinely affectionate and loving to all. If we want the highest type of love - the fulfillment of our deepest hankering, the attainment of our hearts' innermost desire – we have to repose our love from the material platform of sense gratification onto the spiritual platform of divine love by pleasing and serving Sri Guru. He holds the key to the treasure of real love. This is the secret of bhakti. I have been personally touched by a great ocean of love in the form of my Gurudeva, Srila Narayana Maharaja, and I would like to share this experience with you.

Please get in touch and come to meet a pure devotee, a real saint and messenger of the spiritual world of pure love, my Gurudeva.
