Bhagavat Maharaja has recently taken the renounced order of life Sannyas from Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja the spiritual successor to Swami Prabhupada, making him a Vaishnava Monk. Bhagavat Maharaja resides in Houston Texas where he is The Spiritual Director of The Bhakti Yoga Society which is under the guidance of Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja. Bhagavat Maharaja educates the celibate students in the monastery and ministers to a small congregation at the Sri Govindaji Gaudiya Matha.
