You are cordially invited to Sri Jagannatha Puri this year to observe
Sri
Purusottama-vrata under the divine and auspicious guidance of
om
visnupada Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja. Sri Krsna Himself is
the predominating deity of this month of Purusottama, which comes every
thirty-two months, and one attains greater benefit by performing bhajana in this
month than in any other month. All Vaisnavas therefore observe Purusottama-vrata
with great care and joy.
This Purusottama, there will be a historic festival and
parikrama in
Jagannatha Puri for fourteen days, between 5th and 19th August. You will get the
chance to visit the renowned temples and pastime-places in and around Jagannatha
Puri; to take part in tumultuous kirtana; to hear discourses on
Srimad-Bhagavatam, Sri Caitanya-caritamrta and other bhakti literatures; to
honour delicious maha-prasadam from Sri Jagannatha-deva; and, above all, to
engage in real mahat-sanga.

Bakula (Srila Haridasa Thakuras bhajana-kutir), Sri Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya's

Vatika, Sri Gundica Mandira, Sri Nrsimhadeva, Sri Indradyumna Sarovara,
bhajana-kutir of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, Tota Gopinatha,
Yamesvara Tota, the well of Sri Paramananda Puri, Lokanatha Mahadeva,
Cakratirtha, Alalanatha, Sri Ramananda Rayas residence, Sri Madhavi-devis
residence, Bhuvanesvara, Lingaraja, Ananta Vasudeva, Bindu Sarovara, Sri Saksi
Gopala, and much more
Days will be set aside wholly for
hari-katha, rest and meetings with
Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja. Separate arrangements can also be
made for devotees who wish to have darsana of Sri Nilamadhava.
To be able to make good arrangements for your lodging, for cooking, for bus
excursions and for a suitable venue for hari-katha, we need to know at the
earliest whether or not to expect you. Please therefore register your name with
