On February 8, 2005, over 400 devotees from around the world celebrated
Srila Narayana Maharaja's Appearance Day with him in Hilo, Hawaii.
Srila Narayana Maharaja came to the festival site in the morning, and
for over an hour the devotees lined up to approach him on the vyasasana,
to offer him flowers, presents and heartfelt prayers. Some of
the devotees on the line handed him cell phones, and thus Srila Maharaja
also spoke with many devotees from around the world on the phone during
that hour. He then spoke for about 15 minutes about the significance
of Vyasa Puja, at which time he explained that he was offering the
devotees offerings to the lotus feet of his Gurudeva, Srila Bhaktiprajnana
Kesava Gosvami Maharaja and his guru-parampara. After his short talk, he
performed arati, worshiping the parampara.
