It was the strong desire of our supremely worshipful Śrīla Gurudeva, nitya-līlā praviṣṭa oṁ viṣṇupāda aṣṭottara-śata-śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja, for Śrī Keśavajī Gauḍīya Maṭha in Mathurā to be magnificently reconstructed. During his manifest presence, he consulted a few prominent engineers and architects in Mathurā city, but work could not commence during his lifetime.

The word mātsarya is used with different meanings in different contexts. Among its various meanings we find ‘enviousness of others’ good-fortune’, ‘distressed because of their success’, ‘malice’ and ‘jealousy’. Wherever the word mātsarya has been used in the Vaiṣṇava scriptures, it refers to that mood which is adverse to prema (pure love).
